JOS, NIGERIA — On Saturday, July 18th, Christopher Deshe and Uche Andrew Onyeka proudly represented the SMOBA Saints at the St. Murumba College graduation, speech, and prize-giving day. The vibrant event marked a memorable milestone for the graduating class, bringing together students, faculty, and distinguished alumni to celebrate academic dedication and community leadership. The presence of the alumni SMOBA group underscored the enduring bond between past and present students, highlighting a shared commitment to fostering future generations of leaders.
A Warm Reception from Leadership
The SMOBA Saints delegation received a heartfelt welcome from both the school and alumni SMOBA leadership. SMOBA President Joseph Gorah commended the delegation's active participation, noting that the presence of the SMOBA Saints added significant value to the ceremony and reinforced the strength of the global alumni network.
Expressing deep gratitude for the alumni's unwavering commitment, Principal Father Nicholas Kisala directly addressed the SMOBA Saints representatives with high praise, stating: "God bless you sirs for being the backbone of our success story (speech and prize giving day)." Father Kisala emphasized how past students serve as vital role models and pillar supports for the graduating class and the institution as a whole.
Honoring the Graduating Class with Premium Gifts
The ultimate highlight of the day arrived during the prize-giving ceremony, where special gifts provided by the SMOBA Saints were presented to outstanding achievers. This year, the delegation presented high-quality, eco-friendly aluminum water flasks to 23 exceptional students from the graduating class.
These premium flasks recognized top academic performance, exceptional character, and leadership qualities. By putting this practical support directly into the hands of the school's top talent, SMOBA Saints not only joined with the school and SMOBA alumni group to reward years of hard work but also inspire the new graduates to carry forward the school’s legacy of excellence.
